GradTalent ("we", "us", "our") is a career management platform operated from Ireland. We help Irish graduates find employment through AI-powered job matching, automated applications, and career coaching.

We collect the following personal data when you use GradTalent:
• Identity data: full name, email address, date of birth, nationality
• Contact data: phone number, city, country
• Professional data: education history, work experience, skills, projects, certifications
• Immigration data: visa/work permit status and expiry date
• Career preferences: target roles, salary expectations, work type, location preferences
• Uploaded documents: CVs, certificates, transcripts (stored securely)
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps
• Payment data: subscription plan (payment details handled by Stripe — we never store card numbers)
• Communications: messages between you and your assigned career consultant
We use your data to:
• Create and manage your GradTalent account
• Match you to relevant job opportunities based on your profile
• Generate tailored CVs, cover letters, and other career documents using AI
• Enable your AI agent to apply for jobs on your behalf (paid plans only)
• Assign and connect you with a career consultant (Medium and Pro plans)
• Send you job match notifications and platform updates
• Process your subscription payments via Stripe
• Improve our AI matching and document generation models
• Comply with our legal obligations
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your data on the following legal grounds:
• Contract performance: processing necessary to deliver the service you signed up for
• Legitimate interests: improving our platform, preventing fraud, security monitoring
• Consent: sending marketing emails (you can withdraw consent at any time)
• Legal obligation: retaining financial records as required by Irish tax law
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
• Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure) — EU servers
• Stripe (payment processing) — PCI DSS compliant
• Anthropic / OpenAI (AI document generation) — data processed transiently, not stored
• Vercel (hosting infrastructure)
• Your assigned career consultant (if on Medium or Pro plan) — for the purpose of supporting your job search
We do not share your data with recruiters or employers without your explicit consent.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:
• Your profile and documents are deleted within 30 days
• Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by Irish Revenue law
• Anonymised, aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytics
You can request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@gradtalent.ie
As an EU/EEA resident, you have the right to:
• Access: request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
• Rectification: correct any inaccurate data
• Erasure: request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restriction: ask us to limit how we process your data
• Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Object: opt out of processing based on legitimate interests
• Withdraw consent: for any processing based on your consent
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@gradtalent.ie. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission Ireland (dataprotection.ie).

We take data security seriously. Measures include:
• All data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3)
• Database encrypted at rest (Supabase AES-256)
• Row-level security policies on all database tables
• Passwords hashed using bcrypt (never stored in plain text)
• Access to production systems restricted to authorised personnel only
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of GradTalent after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
